Im not a sparky but a new home owner with one of your C Bus systems in our roof running half our houses lighting system. We like what it does for us but are wondering why our power bill is so high. Do these systems use more power than a normal lighting set up with dimmers.
    Thanks Fisherman:)

Systems like C-Bus use a little extra power, but it's not significant. I would be interested to know what (roughly) your annual power bill is. You will typically find heating/cooling devices such as reverse cycle air-conditioning contribute to a lot of power consumption.

There are devices that you can connect to your home to give an indication as to what is costing you big.

    Cheers
