    Hi,
Does anyone know what type of internal relays Clipsal L5108RELVP have?
I need to control 48VDC at 1-1.5amp load and I'm not sure if the relay contacts will cope in the long run or I'm better to use L5504RVFC Changeover relay?
    Thanks

Had a couple of 48V 3A loads I need to control so used spare channels on my L5108RELVP to control DC relays that could cope with the load. From memory, the contacts in the ELV unit are listed as 30V DC 2A but I have never gutted one to check the physical relays used. For the price of an external relay, figured it wasn't worth destroying a channel.

Then it becomes messy as you double the relays, cables plus a power supply.
Anyway, inside the Cbus unit is Omron G6CU-2114P relay which is rated at 8A 250AC / 8A 30VDC with maximum switching voltage 125VDC /8A

Assuming you have a resistive load.

Check out the Maximum Switching Capacity Graph. At 48VDC you have 2 amp resistive, 1 amp inductive. Too close for comfort for me, and you lose your warranty. Take Damaxx's advice, use an external relay and save yourself the future heartache. :)

Just to be on the safe side will do as Damaxx suggested. I have few spare Phoenix contact din rail relays which will do nicely.
