Well i have one and i follow the manual to the letter but i still cant connect.
    Can anyone help?

Laptop running windows XP Pro fully patched
    PICED software version 3.1.0.0
Static IP range on my laptop 192.168.54.xx subnet 255.255.255.0
Static IP range on Touch screen 192.168.54.xx subnet 255.255.255.0
Red network cable suplied with screen

Run up PICED and try to upload and according to the manual i should be preseneted with a list of network deviced to connect to?

If i set the static IP on my laptop and the Screen to the same IP my PC and the screen reports a duplicate IP address is being used so they are talking to a degree.

Also cant ping the screens ip address if that helps.

    Best regards

First off ? what?s your hardware setup ??
Are you connecting the red cable to a separate lan board or
are you connecting it to an existing working lan that is connected to your laptop (via a hub in which case the lead is not the correct type).

I use a separate plugin lan board just for colour touch as my Laptop on an inhouse lan, wireless network and broadband so its easier for me to control.

Using Piced even without a touch on the end of cable, if you goto Transfer, Transfer project to Unit and select the first option (do not transfer) you should get something like this showing your lan boards, if not try the help. Lots of info and test things in there.

Straight red cable direct to my lan port on my laptop.

Just to clarify a couple of points :
    1. You are connecting straight from your laptop to the Colour C-Touch Ethernet port
    2. You are using the cross-over cable supplied
    3. You click on the transfer button and nothing happens.

Does a message come up telling you that you have errors in your project ?

Does the project Archive form get displayed ?

Does the CTC Client software start up ?

    Connection

Found the problem, it appears that you can?t proceed with certain errors in the programme, i.e. no networking button access etc.

Understandable but frustrating with the limited info you get with the unit.

Thanks guys your info did lead me to the fix.
    :)

    thanks
