I can't get the Wiser to display any vales in the Widget - am sure I've missed configuring something from the help notes in my setup, but haven't been able to figure out what I've done wrong. Here's the setup

5504CMU on the CBUS network, assigned a Unit Address of 44 and Measurement Device ID 44. Only Chanel 1 Is active at the moment.

In the status tab Channel 1 is recording a Measured Value of 15amps

I can see the Measurement Application broadcasting this value in the Application Log

In Wiser I've added the Power Meter widget (number 91)

in the Power Meter Manager, I've selected Analogue Power Meters and clicked into the Measurement App Manager

Here I have specified the CMU .. by Measurement Device ID 44 (same as unit address) and set the channel to 0 (as I have a Current Transformer connected to Channel 1)

Not sure which Power Meter boxes to tick here - at present I have Measuring Power and Include in Totals checked

Also I haven't deleted the default Pulse Power Meter that was added when I created this widget ? should I have?

Attached is a screen shot of the widget setup and the wiser widget not showing any values! At the amp readings from toolkit I was expecting a reading of approx 3.6KW on the dial.

Any advice would be much appreciated

    Cheers
    James

You need to select channel 1 of the CMU for physical channel 1. The 4 channels of the CMU correspond to Channel ID's 1-4, not 0-3.

Thanks Newman ... I seem to be getting a reading now but it seems kind of low

19.7amps in Toolkit is displaying as 0.2kW on the widget

    Any ideas why?

It could be a couple of things. Is your CMU set up to broadcast current or power? You need to configure the CMU with a nominal voltage and configure it to broadcast Power, not Current.

Also check your broadcasting options in Toolkit. There are both periodic and on-change broadcasting options. Getting these settings right is a balance of getting sufficiently frequent updates vs creating lots of network traffic. I have mine set up to broadcast once a minute and also when the reading changes by more than 0.5%, although this is probably a bit tighter than it really needs to be.

That looks better ... had it set to current

Is broadcasting every 10 secs atm and for 0.5% change

    Thanks for your help.

You may want to change the documentation in the PICED help.

    "Measurement Application Channel"
Channel - the channel number (the first channel is usually 0)

    Change to

    "Measurement Application Channel"
Channel - the channel number (the first channel is usually 0 or 1 in case of a CMU)

This tripped me up on initial config.

Good point - that's the help note I based my initial configuration on
