I was wondering if anyone could tell me if the atco possum transformers for low voltage downlights are compatible with the c bus dimmers and if so how many do you recommend per 1amp channel the lights are 50 watts each

Yes they can be used - they have an input capacitance of 33nf and the C-bus DIN dimmers can drive into a maximum of 300nf so you will probably hit the load max before you reach the capacitance limit. Check out the CIS web site where there is a chart that details a faiir selection of commonly available electronic TX plus an equasion to work out the compatability of any TX not on the list (as long as you know what the input capacitance is).
