The instructions supplied with ucmcbus seem difficult to understand, I am trying to have a comfort input control a cbus output, without success, I cannot understand what the problem could be, ucmcbus is receiving the command but the output does not operate, i have the group address set correctly and the application address appears correct, I have monitored the network and it appears that the key input toggles on and off but not the output, can anyone give me a basic overvue of how to get this working.

    Thanks Peakey.

have you set the counters for the comfort?
for example: for C-bus GA 01, you need to set counter 01 as the feedback.
you need to create 2 response for cbus in comfort software, like On and Off.
on the comfort software, under control menu, after control group and feedback , 0 is always program for Off (where you put your response).

    cheers

Wonkey, I am looking at the supplied comfort ucm manual, that came with the ucmcbus.

augustine, I thought the counters were for feedback from cbus to comfort?, I am trying to get comfort operate cbus at the moment.

    Thanks.

    Peakey,

Have you by any chance done the same as I did first time......

Don't confuse the CBus Groups (Hex) with the Comfort numbers (Decimal).

Also, agreed with the previous post - the counters are not relevant for this.

The comfort panel is not manufactured by clipsal, It may be worth while contacting the manufacture

When you mention that you toggle the key input are you making reference to a c-bus input

Yes, that's correct, please contact IQHomes for support. They be the greatest support we've encountered for any of the Comfort products

    System setup still wont work?

    Thanks for the replies....

The cbus is set to decimal addressing, the application number is 38, the group 1 address on the relay unit I am trying to switch is 30...in comfort I have a cbus action Switch ON, UCM02, Group address 30, Application 38, remote network bridges is empty, am I missing something obvious, as this simply does not work?

    Regards Peakey

    Use 56 rather than 38........

It's the hex vs decimal thing again!

In fact, if you choose 56 (H38) you will see that Comfigurator leaves it off, because the UCM defaults it.....

    Works for me,

    Nick

    HEX not DEC

    ???

I think your not looking at it correctly, the only product CIS has that
allows for selection of HEX or DEC is CBUS V2>>>.

Further to that, it is referring to the format your UNIT ADDRESS is displayed
    in.

It has no reference or bearing on GROUP ADDRESSES as they are all HEX, no matter how you select anyhting anywhere else....

This falls in line with what others have already stated in this thread..
that the comfort is using DECIMAL not HEX

i have attached a zip file(pix.zip) of some pictures of using a product called MinderPRO that is the same as the comfort.
this example is use to program comfort/minderPRO to control c-bus lighting via the c-bus UCM.
    cheers
