    Hi Syd,
I only just noticed this, you probably don't need to know any more but anyway, for others interested...
The CF card in a colour touch screen is a standard compact flash, BUT it is formatted with the Win XP OS and then loaded with a customer project. It is used to boot the system and run the OS from it, as well as the customer project, the CTC1 and 2 can be interchanged (256Mb) but the CTC3 is a 1Gb.

    regards
    Trevor

The CTC1 and 2 CF cards have a special build of Windows XP embedded loaded. You can't use a normal version of Windows. The special version is heavily trimmed and tailored. You can clone a CF card to another and use that, but don't just go installing Windows. You will find it eats CF cards if you do that. It needs the trimmed and tailored Windows embedded version.

    Hi Ash,
It is a good point, but i didn't want to encourage ppl to copy the licenced S/W, except if it's for a backup. :)

Thanks Trevor yes you are quite right. It is licensed. You are allowed a backup, but copying it to your mates for the hell of it is not permitted.
