CLipsal RCD

    Can anyopne tell me why clipsal electronic RCD's are so expensive?

    THe units I am talking about are the 4RCBE2XX/30. I have seen other such as Merlin Gerin for about the third of the cost of these units. Why are they so special.

    I don't think that the CIS guys here are going to be able to answer that question...

    It is either a case of "Product Positioning" (ie: higher price point than seemingly equivalent PDL / Merlin Gerin models)
    -or-
    There is indeed something particularly special about the Clipsal
    -or-
    They are made in smaller volumes so they cost more

    Or most probably a combination of the above - that question needs to be asked of the Clipsal / Schneider rep.
