Cgate error messages - Should I worry

My cbus installation has been working well for several years.
I was recently experimenting with running cgate directly from a windows prompt (connecting through a CNI) in the context of looking for a way to integrate my cbus system with another system.
I noticed a large number of error messages. As said earlier, everything seems to be working well and my question is whether I should be worried or I can continue building my solution! Perhaps you might have some idea on how to dig further into the root cause of the errors.
By the way I ran the stability test and 3 units are marginal out of 70. Nothing else seemed out of order.
    Thanks for your advice

Here are the error messages on the java console (please note I deleted the normal messages from the listing):

Hi CABrouwes, these don't look like properly formed C-Bus messages. Are they coming from the other system?

The last 2 bytes are always xxCF (ie. 4FCF, 42CF, B3CF, AECF). If you removed these two bytes from the end of each message they would become valid messages.

Thanks for your reply. I guess this suggests a recurrent issue with a specific unit rather than a broad communication issue on the bus. These messages come from my the working Cbus installation.
Is there anyway to figure our which unit sends them ? for example assuming the CF is redundant, what do these messages say ? Btw, I only showed the errors on the lighting application. I see similar errors on the HVAC application.

They are just lighting ON, OFF, RAMP messages. I agree with you that these look like deliberate messages; not due to comms issues. You haven't given much detail on your setup, so this could be caused by any number of things. What percentage of the messages are malformed? All or only some of them? Are there any third-party C-Bus Enabled devices or software? Any CTouch, PAC or S+ logic code that may be constructing raw messages? Any "middle man" devices on the ethernet network that may be modifying packets?

I have more than 65 units on my system which include one wired and one wireless network. They are all Schneider products. They include one Mark II, one wiser, one additional CNI and one wireless bridge. I was hoping the error message could tell the culprit and avoid testing the entire network. I know of two problematic units, so I will start with them first. A temperature sensor is showing a voltage of 0.5V since it was out of the box, I always assumed the problem was with the voltage sensor since the unit is otherwise working. Also, the wireless bridge has become MIA on the toolkit but it still performs it function. The frequency of the error messages is high, at least a few every minute, that suggests they come either from the Mark, the wiser, one of the thermostats or from a sensor. These are the only units supposed to send messages with such frequency. I will put them offline one at the time and see if the error messages continue. Btw way, the system works well nevertheless , only the wireless units turn off/on sometimes for no reason, that says something about the resilience of the c-bus !
