Cbus & RTI Issues

    We have a project with Cbus lighting control installed. We are having integration issues with RTI installed by other contractor doing audio work. He has plugged his RS232 in the front of our PCI. Jobsite is remote. When we access job via wiser, we have no cbus, and tstats have no temp reading on widgets, etc....When the RS232 is removed, everything starts working immediately and is perfect including Wiser, (logic in wiser), etc. System will work fine for another week, then same problem. It has happened twice. Could this be the result of a power failure? Any suggestions how to troubleshoot remotely via working wiser?

    Is there a way to setup a log or run a utility, that would record the event. I would need to do this remotely via the Wiser/CNI, etc..??

    Power Outage

    Just confirmed that in both instances, the home experienced a power outage. Could this be the cause of our trouble?

    to run a log file you need a USB to cbus (not wiser) or something similar with toolkit running it has application log which records everything that is active on the network

    It also sounds to me that you have an RS232 device that is a bit sick and is dumping large amounts of rubbish onto the network and flooding it...

    Just my guess..
