    Hey all

    I have cbus in my house and I'm looking for an android remote. The only one that I can find that worked very well on my Samsung s3 is c-mote. However when I run it on my Samsung s5 it just says connection failed. This has nothing to do with the settings as they're identical to the s3.

    Anyways.. Does anyone know of any alternative apps that will work on the s5?

    Hi polerz
    I don't have a lot to add but the CNI can only do one connection at a time so maybe that is something to check.

    I'd prefer not to at this stage.

    C-mote works on my s5 - straight forward. I would recommend you check your settings.

    why?

    seems like overkill. My $35 Raspberry Pi does everything my wiser did before I sold it and more.

    Same here.

    I should qualify my statement here, as my raspberry pi takes care of:
    - scenes;
    - schedules;
    - multiple clients at the same time;
    - remote access (both VPN and VNC).

    The next time I have a block of spare time, I hope to add the ability to change schedules from the iPad (or Android) front end.
    Any other logic can be handled by a PAC. The main reason I have schedules on the Pi, is the ability for me (as a programmer, not end user) to change them remotely.

    I'm sure Wiser is good enough for most clients as it is almost plug n play, I just wanted more flexibility and the ability to tie a number of products together under one front end.

    zx9, thanks for your response. I have checked these settings 500 times, they're IDENTICAL to my s3. Infact, I downloaded a ping tool for my s5 and i can ping my cbus network interface module fine. It seems to boot on my s5 saying group xx off, group xx on, group xx off etc. for about 10 seconds... then when I click one of my scene or light commands, it just says Connection Failed working offline.

    I've even tried changing my s5's IP address to match what my s3 used to be.

    Was there anything special you had to do on the s5 ? What version of android are you running?

    Sorry I just realised when I was writing the model number i have an S3 & S4 - not an S5 so maybe thats the problem after all.

    Anyways for what it's worth my S4 is a GT-I9505 running Andriod 4.3

    Due to a seperate wifi issue i do have both my S4 & C-gate configured with fixed IP's.

    My C-gate & CNI IP's are the same, CNI port is 10001
