I have configured a group address on all my dimmers/relays (Area). I have my M1 turn this group off when we leave and arm the house however it will not work. I have no issues turning groups on/off using M1 logic. The group also works on my light switches. Any ideas?

    Cheers

The M1 changes the format of the group addresses from 184-255.

So if your area group address is in this range it will not work as it is no longer in the 'lighting' application.

    CBus & M1

    Hello Skyline

Just a question about your M1 installation.

Are you using the old interface using the serial interface or cbus module into M0 port?

If using serial interface, there is a problem using groups above 173(around this no.) Groups below are light application groups and above this are trigger Control groups.

So depending on were the program group you are using is, could be your problem.

I found this out the hard way, not is any manual I have for ness, found out through local agent, who ran techs when I had similar problem. I was using 240 group to on/off something. So in the end had to change address.

This problem will be sorted out with the new interface coming out soon, both way comms. It plugs direct into M0 port along with you programming serial cable (or network interface). You will be able to program any group in any applications, I HEAR!!! no actual info yet, waiting for two of these new interfaces.

I had a feeling it was because of the address but never got around to changing it...I am using address 205 so that will be the issue.

    Thanks for your help...

PS. yes I am using the serial interface.

Also, the new 2-way CBUS interface coming out, is it a hardware change or can v1 interfaces be firmware upgraded?

    CBus & M1

    Hello Skyline

The new two way Cbus will be a new hardware.

From what I been told it will plug into the main serial port of the m1 and if your using it to program via serial it plugs into the back of the cbus module.

How is gets programmed yet don't know

    Did you fix your problem?

    To add to that

If you are using an ethernet port on the M1 as well, then it daisychains off the C-Bus interface, thus both a replugged into the main serila port on the M1.
