I have a C-bus installation that already includes a wiser. I am trying to add a Din CNI module but I am unable to access it. First I connected the module to the c-bus and to the Lan. Both lights on the CNI turn solid orange but I am unable to find the CNI on the Ethernet network.
    • The DHCP table of my router does not show the CNI,
    • An IP scan does not discover the CNI
    • I can't find it with the lantronix device installer or the CBUS IP utility.
    • I have also been unsuccessful with a direct connection through a cross over cable and using the lantronix device installer
    Any idea ?

Did you buy it new or install it used ?

I bought mine used and I was only able to find it by looking at the DHCP Client list in my router where it pointed me to something I would never have guessed.

If you bought it new ... see if perhaps you have a faulty Ethernet cable.

Yes it is brand new. I can't find it in my DHCP list.

Have you tried the C-Bus IP Utility that is shipped with Toolkit?

    Hello Conformist
    I have a few questions.
My CNI from 5 years ago did not use DHCP so I have always used a static address.
Have the new CNI units changed?
Also I have set up a Moxa NPort 5110A device server connected to a 5500PC.
It seems to be functioning ok with toolkit and piced so I was wondering if there is any functionality which would be missing compared to a CNI.
    Thanks
