Have tried to run PICED, but it always fails because it can't connect to C-Gate.

    The alert says
Connection was disallowed for the following reason "API version for category "cmd-db" failed to meet requirements Required version must be 1.x actual version is 2.0"
PICED can not operate without a valid C-Gate connection.

I've installed the latest Toolkit (1.12.8), using Windows 7.

    Any ideas?

    Edit: [decided against this edit!]

Whatever version came with Toolkit - I installed it in a single installation.

    Just had a look - 4.10.1

    Edit:
C-Gate says "Can't open secure command interface server on port: 10 <select failed>

(also can't copy from the C-Gate window, or resize it beyond it's joke current max size - can these things be fixed?)

I'm not sure how or where you may have got them in a single installation.

They are in fact separate downloads on our CIS Downloads website.

The page for each download has a table which shows that PICED 4.10.1 is not compatible with C-Bus Toolkit 1.12.8 and C-Gate 2.9:

    http://www2.clipsal.com/cis/technical/downloads/piced

You will need to download PICED 4.12.1 from that page.

Thanks for the help. A misunderstanding on my part. I had obviously used the VM with windows previously (I thought it was clean) - I must have installed a previous PICED installation back last time I was playing with this.
