    Hello everyone,

    I must admit that i have no idea how C-bus works and i have never seen or heard of this system, until i got a surround reciever from English Cambridge Audio that supports it.

    Now ... My question is as following:

    Is there any way that i can use a CD-player, to trigger out 5/12volt, into a C-bus controller of some sort, that will then sent a signal to my Cambridge Audio 650r Reciever, that then detects it, and starts up by itself and choose which input to use?

    This is a picture displaying the Bus-ready input, which Cambridge calls Incognito.

    The solution i was seems pretty simple. I don't want any fancy built-in things in my wall(Atleast not for now :eek:) ), i just want this system to be turned on and set to the right input, by a 5/12volt trigger signal.

    You guys got any advice/tips for me?

    Best regards
    Jesper :)

    Hello Jesper.

    I think you'll find that your receiver is A-Bus ready, not C-Bus - totally different protocol. :(

    Hello Mr Mark,

    After having reexamined my reciever it does indeed say "A-Bus ready"...

    Is there any similarity to the C-bus controller system?

    Do you know where i should head for guidance?

    A-bus != C-Bus.

    Not even remotely comparable.

    Sorry, we here know nothing about it (apart from some work I did about 10 years ago having a quick look - literally 30 mins - where I saw it was very very not the same, not even remotely similar).
