    Hi friends,

I finished installtion of Ctouch at a site just 4 days back. When I visited the site yesterday, I found that Ctouch was locked at startup screen. When I restarted the unit manually, I received a message that "Disaster recovery process has been used. Please update the firmware".

When I try to upload the firmware, unit does nothing but restart once and give same error message(While windows starts and works normally). When I looked into the folder of Homegate, I was surprised to see that Homegate.exe was absent.

Is there any remedy to come out of this problem? Can I reinstall Homegate manually in the touchscreen?

    Please Help!

You need to load firmware using PICED.

See the C-Touch Colour help file topic "Transferring and Installing Update Packages".

    Thanks for replies..!

I tried PICED 4.3.0 to transfer the update package, but failed to do so.
Then I tried with an older version, 3.9.1 and it was a success!

Is it true that there is a limit to update the firmware? Can I upload the latest fimware to any existing old installation?

With Colour C-Touch, it would be best to not update the firmware any more than 1,000,000 times.
    Yes.
