How can I use status change port? (document CGateServerGuide_1_0.pdf pag 29)

I have a TCP listener (port 20025) but it does not receive nothing. Any suggestions?

    regards

Have you tested using a telnet client? With a network open and lights going on and off you should see events come through.

in the c-gate console window if you enter the command
    Code:
    event e5s1c0
and press enter you should see the same status messages show in the c-gate console window (prefixed with #s#). Does that work?

What commands I should use to control temperature? heating/cooling/fan speed ...

I know that the HVAC has an application available based on the lighting application so all the commands/events are the same. I don't have any more info that that sorry, I haven't need to use HVAC yet.

HVAC support in cgate is NOT anything like lighting commands.

    Here is a cgate reference.

NOTE NOTE NOTE: Driving the cbus HVAC application and getting complete inter-operability with the cbus thermostats is NOT trivial.

You need a good understanding of the thermostats, how they work, and especially, you must only set thermostats into modes that they have been programmed to support!

I was thinking of applications 115 & 116 (HVAC Actuator 1 & 2) which are exposed in C-Bus Toolkit as Lighting Like applications. These are added whenever you add a thermostat to a network.

The HVAC actuator applications, like you suggest, are plain-ole-lighting commands. They are used to turn relays on and off.

The HVAC application is used to control and interact with cbus thermostats, and its far from a trivial beast to go playing with. Danger. Dragons be here!

    Hi again,
Thanks for yours reply, they are being useful.
    I have another questions:
    1) I saw HVAC documentation and I still don't know the correct way to change the objective temperature of a zone.
What the meaning of limit value (0..65535)?
Can you show me a example how to do this?

    2) Changes in HVAC modules are reported in status change port, doesn't it?

    3) Is it possible to desarm alarm via C-Gate?

    Thanks,
    Regards!!

    HVACs

    Hi,

I am new in cbus hvacs. I saw in the toolkit and there are several. Some are simple others have 4 zones.
How want to control the HVAC via C-Gate, I saw the document http://www.cbusforums.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=871&d=1212548079.

After all this I have some doubts:
    1) Which are most often installed? What the cat numbers?
    2) What are the limitations that may exist in control HVACs via C-Gate?
    3) The document is referred to the concept of Humidity. But in the toolkit are not present these features.
    4) There is someone who has developed any application to control HVACs via C-Gate?

    Thanks

I suggest you wait for the next version of Schedule Plus software, this will have integration with the thermostats. This will be out in a matter of weeks.

The protocols on cbus support humidity control, but there are no devices currently in manufacture OR DEVELOPMENT to do this. The protocol has been designed with future expansion in mind.
