Loaded all the latest PICED, SpaceLogic & Toolkit updates. As usual there are issues. I am trying to change the designs of buttons in PICED 4.15.3 It was excessively slow to edit my buttons, fonts & backgrounds. Talked to Tech Support and they suggested I go back to 4.15.0. Same issues. Is the problem C-Gate 3. I am running 4.13.1 on my PC and is is fine.
Anyone had this issue? and fixed it?

I have had problems with anything above 4.15.2 on the color touch screens, ctc versions, but only when loaded into the screens, usually bootup and lockup problens
This may depend on the seup in piced. But haven't heard of problems with just piced on a pc. I have and tell people to have 2 copies of piced on thier pc. Good old one and new experimental one.

    Hi Ando,

I have reported the issues you observed to the Clipsal Customer Care team.

I provided a link back to this thread, so if you have any more details or findings, please share them here.

When you rolled back to version 4.15.0, did you also roll back C-Gate and other tools to the same era? If not, I am not suggesting you do so, just asking the question.

It should be noted that C-Gate V3 has transitioned to using OpenJDK 11 during this time. Certainly, Toolkit and SLCC software will have issues if you roll them back to the era of 4.15.0 PICED. This was announced as a breaking change for Toolkit and SLCC, so you may not want to roll these back, or at least not without backing everything up first. Even then, I still do not recommend this action.

However, this change in C-Gate should not impact PICED from version 4.15.0 onwards. Another note is that version 1.19.0 of Toolkit has updated the install locations to comply with MS Windows standards. By default, C-Bus Toolkit now installs to one of the following locations, depending on your operating system:

    • (32-bit Windows) C:\Program Files\Schneider Electric\C-Bus Toolkit
    • (64-bit Windows) C:\Program Files (x86)\Schneider Electric\C-Bus Toolkit
It is possible this may impact PICED, and I have asked the team to investigate this possibility.
