    Hi Everyone,

Late last week we identified a problem with a site running C-Gate 2.3 (as shipped with Toolkit 1.1.8).

A number of Networks were failing to sync (SchedulePlus as the client). The problem was traced to a failure of SENPIRSS Units on the Networks to sync. These units were failing to sync because of a mistake in the CBusUnits.XML file that ships with C-Gate.

CBusUnits.XML defines certain parameters for each unit that C-Gate uses when interogating/programming units. The entry of SENPIRSS was incorrect and it was causing C-Gate to fail to sync these units. When C-Gate sees 3 or more units fail to sync it fails the whole Network.

So.. if you're using CGate 2.3 (as shipped with Toolkit 1.1.8) and you have Networks that are failing to Sync I have attached an updated CBusUnits.XML file to this post (inside a ZIP File). This file needs to be placed in the C:\Clipsal\CGate\UnitSpec directory..

This file is ONLY compatible with CGate 2.3 (as shipped with Toolkit 1.1.8).

This file is NOT required unless you are using SchedulePlus or Homegate.

There was a problem found with the orginal cbusunits.xml included with this thread, it has now been updated. Please re-download the cbusunits.xml file and reapply to C-gate.

    Gerald,

Go into the c-gate2 folder, then to the config folder.

    open 'c-gateconfig' file.

In there if you scroll down far enough you will find CLOCK UPDATE spelt CLOCK UPDTATE (I think in two instances only, and in the same paragraph). Just fix the spelling and save the file.

    It will be fine.

What's the impact of this typo?

I've just dropped into the forums to look for help to work out why first Homegate (3.1.0.0) then subsequently the C-Bus toolkit (1.1.6 Build 131) and C-Gate (2.2.4) seem to lose communications to C-Bus and noticed I also have the above typos on my system. What sort of effects does it cause?

    Regards,

    Bob

There is no adverse efffect to this typo, it should have been fixed but keeps getting missed in the process of fixing things that do affect things. However, given the amount of comment it is drawing on the forum and potential for confusion when diagnosing real issues I will promote it's status in the system.

Thanks Richo. I might try Toolkit 1_1_8 before getting too carried away.
