We currently have wired C-Bus throughout our house controlled via a Wiser 2 unit and are considering adding some wireless plug adaptors so that we can control some individual power points from the Wiser app. I understand we will also need a wireless gateway to be able to control the plug adaptors via the Wiser app but it sounds like it will create a separate wireless network for the plug adaptors - is that right? Does each C-Bus wireless unit need to be within range of the C-Bus wireless gateway? It’s a multi-level house so some C-Bus wireless units would not be within direct range of the wireless gateway. We have a Wi-Fi repeater on each level for the existing Wi-Fi network but I am not sure how the wireless gateway works and if it can hook into the existing wireless network & repeaters. Are there any other options/technologies that would allow us to control power sockets & other devices that aren't hard-wired to the C-Bus network via the Wiser app?
