C-Bus Toolkit 1.1.6 released

CIS is pleased to annouce the immediate availability of version 1.1.6 of the C-Bus Toolkit software.

This is principally a defect repair release. No significant new functionality has been added.

You will notice a new icon in your Windows Start Menu for Toolkit labelled "Toolkit Express" this is a slightly cut down version of the software for use by people who want to gradually learn Toolkit. It only shows the Network View of units and the same set of Group Tags etc gets used on each site. A site can be "snapshotted" into a Database for later view in "Full Toolkit".

You will notice that Group levels can now be manipulated from within Unit GUI's by right click on all Group Combos (Drop Downs), menu options have been added to set the Group Off and On on the Network.

The software team has been concurrently working on the Toolkit 1.2 release which DOES contain significant new functionality "Coming soon".

The Software and Hardware Team also have a whole Week coming up soon that we've dedicated to improving the communication speeds of Toolkit with the Bus. Provided that "SpeedWeek 2005" goes well you can expect to see some dramatic speed improvements in the coming months.

Edit: Please note, that since release 1 small problem has been identified with 1.1.6, not serious, but you need to be aware of it..

The new Toolkit Express hides certain columns in the Network Units view, when Full Toolkit is then run, one of these columns still remains hidden.

Work around until Toolkit 1.2 is released : Delete the file C:\Clipsal\CBusToolkit\columns.ini this will reset all column widths and show the hidden column.
