Now I am in UK foir a few years (and have been for a while) it brings it home how far C-bus has spread, Last week end the FA Cup Soccer final was played at the new Wembley Stadium which is all C-bus. Chelsea won so we had a few drinks to drown our sorrows. Later that night one of my (nameless) aquantantce's bought round a highly rough (not to mention ileagle) copy of the about to be released Oceans 13, now the film was grainy but I'd swear that a C-bus touch screen and switches featured in some scenes.

The problems at the Wembley stadium were not related to C-Bus.

In fact, given the size and complexity of the building works, the cbus install was extraordinarily smooth.

The amount of "oh dear the sky is falling" that ended up in engineering was NIL.

Actually it wasn't the high tech lighting control system or any other 'complex' bit of gear or system that put it over the budget, it was the relativly low tech metal work to hold the roofing up (not that this was a trivial business) and cracked sewer runs under the stadium that caused the majority of the hold ups (and therefore the additional expence)

In the same way the expensive 'black box' that constitutes your engine manigments system is less likely to fail and leave you stranded at the side of the road than the chance that a 2 cent nail will if it goes through your tyre.

Well the better team won...hands down )
Wembley did look pretty good... they must have had a few smart C-Bussers on the job...

I have to say having seen the FA Cup and a couple of concert events at the new stadium that the building comes to life much more for the concerts. (To be fair I'm not a huge football fan but I'm not a big George Michael fan either!)

To think none of it would have been possible without C-Bus :D

I always had my doubts about George. Is he controlled by a colour or BW touch panel.

    I don't think he's C-Bus controlled. He didn't seem to do a lot.
