In the USA there is only one supplier I have found that caries pink Cat5e wire.

    Manufacture is Belden
    There are 2 types :
The cheaper is 1583A that is a lighter pink (photo) and a more expensive Databrite 1585A that has a higher fire rating (Plenum) and is a brighter pink.

I purchased from Allied Electronics as they are a rep for Belden wire.

(sorry for the fuzzy camera phone image)

    Hi Alan

I did a quick check and these cables (all the Belden cat 5e that I can see) are rated as 300V working, what this does not tell us is the insulation rating. I can't see that on the Belden tech data.

For segregation you really need a cable that has a high voltage rating on the outer sheath insulation, this is a hard thing to find.

You may also need to check the wiring codes as well, but if you have a nice high insulation rating (on the cable) AND use the plenum rated there is a chance some of the installation / segregation hassles will be reduced.
