    Hi experts

We are trying to pin down just exactly what we can and cant do with C-Bus because as you know, if its only a lighting control system it?s a bit of a hard sell. Also we focus primarily on retrofit scenarios using wireless.

What I need to find out is what can we realistically do now and what are going to be viable options due to the amount of time input required?

The areas we are looking at are AV, AC, Security, Motorised blinds, gates/doors, pool/spa heating and telephone systems. I would be particularly interested in specifics about which brands have been done before and any other products which make integrating the above areas possible. I think almost all of them we would have to do wired ? am I right in thinking that? Any input at all would be MUCH appreciated!

Cbus Wired and wireless are here now, Ive used both and they seem to be completely compatible. C-Bus wireless make installing real cheap & easy and ecause it is a 2way system you get indicators on keys that show what is really going on with the load no matter where you switch it.

Wired and wireless are mainly lighting from clipsal as far as i know but i have heard rumours of lots of new things coming

There are a few makers of cbus enabled products. i've heard of a controller from Comfort?. I know Inner Range have intergrated there security systems with cbus. I have seen on this forum that you can get an access control system from AXEZE that works with cbus.

Ive heard a hot rumour of a new security panel with ful cbus integration coming soon - i'd like to know when cos it should be great.

Ive also heard a rumour (maybe it was on here somewhere?) about an HVAC system that is coming as well.

Perhaps youi should ring cliopsal tech support and ask them a few questions as well.

    Hi Helena,

Dependent on your location, there are a number of specialist "Systems Integrators" available to assist you in designing, installing, integrating and commissioning various systems to C-Bus. All of the systems you have listed have been integrated more than once, and these guys will ge able to assist. As per the previous post, contact your nearest CIS tech support people, they will be able to assist you, or put you in contact with a systems integrator.
