C-bus Dimmer L5504D2A electrical smell

    Hey guys,
    Got my self a C-bus test lab, purchased a 4ch Dimmer module. Works on all channels and can dim from 1-99%

    Slight buzz sound which apparently is normal.

    Ive had the module plugged in for a few days not under any load and it has a very strong electrical smell.. Not quite burning

    Module is 2nd hand and manufactured Feb 2004 :/

    Is this normal?

    No its not normal.
    Switch it off and and vacuum the dust out. Being that old it could just be dirty.
    If it smells afterwards chances are its a failing capacitor internally.
