Further details are provided later in this post.

    Firmware Update Guidance (Important)

When upgrading to V2.5.0, please follow these requirements:

    • Power the controller using a stable 24V DC supply
    • Ensure connection to an active C‑Bus network with a functioning system clock

These conditions are critical to ensure a reliable and successful upgrade process.

    Key Changes in V2.5.0

A summary of key updates includes:

    • Updates to the Manager Application platform
    • Updates for mobile app integration (iOS and Android)

Key Highlight – Introduction of the C‑Bus Manager Ecosystem for Automation Controller (Manger) and IOS and Android Mobile devices (C-Bus Manager)

This release introduces a significant new capability for Generation 2 controllers with the Manager Application and supporting ecosystem.

    Manager Application

    • Pre-installed by default on 5500AC2
    • Available for download via the Controller App Store on 5500NAC2
The Manager Application enables simple and efficient creation of predefined user interfaces for your customer projects.
It is designed as a practical alternative to fully custom visualisation projects (PC/Tablet), reducing engineering effort while still delivering a polished and functional user experience.

This allows faster project delivery with consistent UI outcomes across installations.

    Recommended Workflow

For best results when using the Manager Application:

    • First, use the Controller Sync feature in SpaceLogic C‑Bus Commission Tool
    • This will automatically create and align all required objects in the controller
    • Then proceed with project creation using the Manager Config App
This workflow ensures the Manager Application has full access to the system model and significantly simplifies configuration.

    Enhancements Included

Recent improvements to the Manager ecosystem include:

    • Smaller, more flexible widgets, allowing:
      • Increased number of widgets per view
      • Better use of screen space and layout flexibility
    • Expanded widget library, including:
      • New widgets supporting HVAC system integration (e.g. iZone)
These enhancements are also fully supported in the:

C‑Bus Manager Mobile App (Android & iOS)

providing a consistent and modern user experience across both controller-hosted interfaces and mobile devices.
