HomeGate V2.5 can run applications, but not interect with them. HomeGate V3 will have the capability of using TCP/IP sockets to interect with other software.

    Hi Arnis,

We have a pre-compiled C-Bus Module that comes as a Windows DLL or a Linux Shared Object (.a) library. This is a driver that you can obtain for free if you send your name and postal address to [email protected]. Documentation and examples come with the CD.

Have you looked at the xPL project? http://www.xplproject.org.uk/
There is an xPL interface to C-Gate, and once you have C-Bus firing off xPL messages, you can make a button press on a C-Bus key input do just about anything you want, including controlling Winamp.

    Regards,

    John
