    Hi All.

I know that this question has been asked numerous times in the past but I have a job that involves both an M1 with C-Bus Module and a C-Bus network.

How can you link the M1 into the C-Bus so that control can be achieved from a Clipsal C-Touch screen.

As I am sure there is a simpler way then creating 10 groups and 10 M1 rules to trigger each number on the keypad.

The M1 Cbus interface implements some of the CBus security application but it's not particularly well done. It does however respond to virtual key presses so if that is all you need just add keys via the tools menu and select security application and the keypad keys. The M1 will give you alarm status information (e.g. Armed, ready to arm etc) which can be displayed via a systemio text string. I did go through the complete protocol a while ago but I am away from home at the moment so don't have access to it.

The M1 doesn't send zone status messages when disarmed as that could potentially flood the network, but will send violated zone messages when armed.

If the M1 has a network interface (if not get one!), then you can make a network connection via a touch screen or wiser and do anything you want quite easily. I use this to get continuous zone status messages displayed on a color touch screen. I can post the logic when I get back home if you are interested.

    Hi Ashley,

Thanks for that. If you wouldn't mind sending me your logic that would be great. I don't know if you want to post it on the forum or email it to me at [email protected]

    Thanks

    M1

    Thanks Ashley

I have the M1 arming and disarming on the touch screen just would like zone status. I do have a Ethernet interface on the M1 also if that helps.

    Cheers
