    Hi Glen,

Thanks for your input. I have or will have multi split system I suspect your HVAC system is a single system. I will have two ODU's and 7 heads as it is in the tropics and these are pretty much all that are used up there. I will also have a Ness M1 as the automation controller which will also handle the C-Bus control

    Cheers,

    M1 Thermostat integration

    Hi,

Don't forget that the M1 can interface directly with a number of serial thermostats such as the RCS: More info here: http://www.elkproducts.com/products/m1/m1partners.htm#Thermostat Partners

Most larger "ducted" systems can be controlled as GlenF described - a circuit for the compressor, a circuit for the fan and a circuit for the reversing valve (for reverse-cycle - probably not needed in the tropics :) ).

From the description earlier in the thread it sounds like this is the sort of system that the future C-Bus module will be able to control too.

You may need to work with your air-conditioning supplier to see if they can supply a system that meets these specifications rather than the typical infrared controlled wall mounted split system. Ducted systems are typically neater and quieter too.

    Daikin IR codes.

CIS supplied the following codes from the Daikin ARC-433A47 remote.
Had the chance to test and am (very) happy to say they worked.

Hope someone else can use them....

    Hi Joehann,

You should look at the 'iNirt' product with CBUS interface.. Might give you more/better control of your air conditioner..

    Cheers..
