    Hi Guys,
Just a small introduction here, I live and work in Thailand and I generally do standard electrical fault finding and things like that.

A customer asked me to look at one of their Villas and it is using a C-Bus 2 system, and I am looking for some help as to where I could find some information so I can try and start to fault find on the system, or would this be pretty impossible without having some sort of course?

The problem is, 2/3 lighting circuits are switching on at the same time, and when I looked at this system, it was quite big. I really don't know where to start.

Any advice or help in pointing me in the right direction would greatly be appreciated.

    regards

    Brit

The basics are easy to pick up by reading the manuals and playing around. Some of the more advanced stuff needs experiance and/or training.

Below is a link to the site that has the C-bus training manuals.

    http://www2.clipsal.com/cis/technical/technical_support/training2/cbus_control_and_management_system

The menu that appears on the left will link to everything else you need to know and need to get started.

You will find that many of the pro's around here will be reluctant to help until such time as you have shown you have at least made an effort to understand the system. (the usual response to someone who comes on like you have is call someone who knows what they are talking about). So have a read of the manuals, see if you can work it out and come back and ask your specific question with the new found knowledge you have gained.

    I totally appreciate the help.

I will have a good read and see what I can find out. Finding good local help can be as rare as rocking horse **** :)

    regards
