Blinds Open on schedule in PAC

Hi.

I had previously been pulsing the relevant group to 100% for 2 seconds using logic, which worked fine, but doing the same thing in scheduler doesn't work to open the blinds at sunrise.

Scheduler closes the blinds ok, just won't open them.

Is there some quirk I could be missing?

Shutter relay

 

With the shutter relay you set it to 100% to open and 0% to close. The relay will operate for the fail safe time which you normally set to how long the blinds take from fully closed to fully open. This also allows you to set the blind at any percentage. The shutter relay assumes the blind motor has limit switches.
If the shutter relay is in level translation mode several values are interpreted as toggle commands. These are:
1% Alternate between close and stop (2 button operation)
2% Stop
98% Alternate between open, stop, close, stop (one button operation
99% Alternate between open and stop (2 button operation)

I set mine on a single button when log press is toggle (open/close) and short press is stop.

If you pulse it for 2 seconds it will start to open for 2 seconds then close. If it was working in logic then the pulse wasn't happening.

 

I had modified a Somfy remote to work off the open/close/common terminals on the relay. I only use 2 seconds because sometimes the blinds don't respond to a rapid button press. It keeps sending the open or close command if you hold the button I found. So I set 2 secs as the maximum time in Toolkit.

Anyway, it's been working for weeks with logic on the PAC, just not with the scheduler.

Aaah. Final level was set to "OFF". Gonna change it to "ON" and see if that fixes it...

 

So you aren't actually using the shutter relay to control the blinds as designed, you are using it to press a remotes buttons. Information like this is critical if you want useful responses

 

In case anyone else comes across the same issue, I changed it from pulse to ramp to 0% or 100% immediately and that fixed it.
