Hi guys looking for a bit of advise on blind control

I have a project that i am about to start which involves 5 windows that have metal venation blinds, the client wants them to both rais and lover and to tilt open and close as well,

I am looking to use somfy double ended motors and accessories, what i am wondering is the best way to connect them to cbus, i will be using a Dlt switch to control the blinds but will also be integrating into control 4

Whats the best type of relay to use etc?

    Sparky,
First off a couple of things to consider,
    1. Do the blinds travel from fully closed to fully open or do you want to be able to stop at any position ?? ie; Blinds half open and half raised.
    2. Do need to cut the power at the fully open/ closed position ??
    3. Do you need a time delay between changing directions ??
    4. Are you going to drive the motors direct or through a RF link ??
    5. Is any one blind to be controlled from more than one place, ie 2 DLTs

Have a look at the ?Shutter Relay? it does a lot of the above.
On the blinds ? in picture ? I use one of each shutter and normal relay as the arm raising/ lowering can stop at any position, so as long as the user presses the button the shutter relay is active.
The louvers can only be fully open/closed so a one second pulse to the controller does that.

Hi dave thanks for the reply

    1. Customer wants them to go from fuly open to fully closed, what they are more intrested in is the blinds tilting open and closed as they dont open them fuly often. What they do want is to be able to stop the tilt when opening and closing at any point
    2. Im intending using somfy motors and have been told that they need a few seconds over run before power gets cut?
3.i would imagin that a small, time delay would be fine before changing direction
4.i am planning on running the motors direct.
5.i would like to be able to controle the blinds from any where in the property including from the control 4 panel,

What relay are you sugesting and will i require any power supplies?

How many relays per blind do you require, is one for up amd down and one for tilt required.

Also if blinds are in fuly closed position most ofmthe time can the customer just control the tilt function, how dose this work
