Before giving the information to the panel builder, you will need to choose which dimmer you will use. There are 2 types of dimmer available from Clipsal that can be purchased to meet your requirement for 12 channels, 16A per channel.

    • Infinity Professional dimmers
    • Infinity Architectural dimmers
Most of the dimmers in these ranges require a 3-phase connection for power. The data sheets list what type of connection each unit has. The 12 x 16A models all require 3-phase power. The Installation Instructions have diagrams showing you how to wire up the dimmer.

If you need 12 x 16A, and only need Leading Edge dimmer channels with basic functions, you will probably need the Infinity Professional dimmer. The part number of this dimmer that includes RCD protection on each channel is L5112D16LPR12.

If you require Universal dimmer cards, DMX control, more advanced Scene capability or local dry contact overrides you will need the Infinity Architectural dimmer instead.

If one of these two product families doesn't meet your needs I suggest you contact Clipsal. The basic dimmer chassis has lots of configuration options.

All the Brochures, Data Sheets and Installation Instructions are available on the CIS website here.
