    Hello,

Still very new, and learning, but getting lost with something.

on a b&w screen, with logic, I am able to control some lights etc..
and, i've also managed to control my blinds, with some crude logic.
i'm slowly getting around to controlling my underfloor heating and socket outlets, but I'm having some troubles...

my problem is, from a DLT i can set up a secondary application to switch a relay output on/off. If I then try to set up a button on the screen to switch off the same/any relay, it doesnt work?

The only difference i can see is that I've put all my underfloor heating and socket outlets into the 'power' application?

    Any susggestions?

    TIA, Aaron

    update..

i've moved some of my groups into my lighting application and what i'm trying to do works...
I must be doing something wrong when using power and heating application - i can 'nudge' a group by a value within the lighting application but not in heating or power??
It all works on the pc screen (in any application) but when i download - nothing on the b&w (just beeps!)..

    What am I doing wrong??

    TIA, Aaron

    Hi Darren,

The applications were defaults within toolkit (ver 1.10.5)
power is application number 49 and,
    heating (legacy) is number 136.

what i dont understand is i'm trying to simply turn on a relay output from a button on the b&w screen. if i set up the groups within lighting, all works fine.
but when i do this in say application 'power' nothing happens.

    i'm probably missing something simple.

obviously i could just pile it all in lighting and not worry too much, but i'm trying to keep everything neat and tidy(ish).

    Aaron,

What version of PICED are you running?

If it is (I think) version 4.5, there was a problem with the firmware in the B&W touchscreen where it didn't allow you to use applications other than lighting, trigger control and a few others.

If you are running an old version, please upgrade, transfer the new firmware and see how it goes.

    Cheers

    Michael

MickeyD is correct. There was a problem with non-lighting applications not working correctly (Ref. No. 16700). This was fixed in V3.42 of the C-Touch firmware.

Update to PICED V4.7.0 and transfer the latest firmware (V3.43).
