Can anyone suggest a method of displaying on a key input unit (led) the status of all lights in the house eg (1) any light on, led is on (2) all lights off, led is off.

I have read a recent thread about turning on/off all lights using scenes or area addressing using ramping, which relates to control, not status. http://www.cbusforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4343

do you hace a PAC to colour touch screen (ie: something with the logic engine)?

If so it is possible, other than that, i am not sure how you could go about it.

    Cheers

No, I don't have a PAC or a colour screen.

Using the logic engine would be the best way... there *may* be another..

What types of switch do you have?
How many different group addresses do you have?

The switch is an 8 button Neo.
There are currently 42 different group addresses.

    Ok..

    What I was thinking..

If you have an "All Off" scene in the Neo, it can have up to 40 groups in it (assuming it's recent firmware and there are no other scenes in that unit - older Neos had a restriction of the number of groups per scene, whereas later ones you can put as many as you like, up to the limit of scene storage).

If you use this scene to turn all the group addresses off, then the scene indicator will be ON when all those lights are OFF (ie while the scene is active). As soon as any one of those group addresses is turned ON, the scene is "broken" and the scene indicator will go OFF.

This sort of does what you're looking for, and is the only way I can think of getting close to what you want without having a logic engine.
