Seems in true aussie tradition it will be easier to find knockers than suggestors so here goes.

I am not an electrician and fully intend finding one who knows something about CBus to do the zappy bits.

I am about to build a new home with 5 bedrooms, Study and two largish living areas.

I currently have 5 x 8 channel dimmers and am ordering a 2a relay with power and probably a 12ch relay also powered.

    I have a B/W CTouch

I have two 72pole switchboards that unfortunately are 18 mod wide so there will be a fair bit of blank space.

    I have a heap of 10amp and 16am MCB's and also some RCD's.

I am also blessed with a Minder and Digital keypad.

I have attached my rough workings but am not sure if I am heading in the right direction.

Anyone wanna play and offer some suggestions or tell me where I have gone wrong so far would be well regarded.

Sorry I cant help you with your wiring, for a variety or reasons, not least of which is I live in Melbourne and I'm not a sparky.

However, just a word of warning about the unmentionable M box you have. You need to check the version of the keypad firmware, pre 1.9 will give you trouble.

BTW given the lack of response you are getting here, there used to be a list of approved C-Bus folk on the CIS website (don't know if it still exists) but worth a look.

    Cheers

If you add 12u to an MCB and OVP you get up to 14. The other 4u can be taken up with cable management.

    Started this post

I don't think many realise the genisis of this post was me being damned for asking for help in a previous, courteous and positive request that was closed off, albeit for a short time.

    I make no apologies however because;

"The C-Bus Community Forums is place where C-Bus users can share information and help others with C-Bus."

Sadly, there doesn't seem to be a lot of willingness to share nor help, rather to mock those who don't happen to have been a cable monkey for 3 years. CBus is so much more than Electrical but try to ask a question to understand matters electrical and see what happens.

    I did, it was fun.
