Has anyone else experienced this? I purchased 6 eDLTS last December, of which 5 were available. The sixth only recently came into stock after a long wait.

All 5 of the original eDLTs are showing signs of disintegration of the paint. I notified the dealer immediately when the first unit was damaged out of the box, and slowly they've all succumbed. I've attached a sample picture.

I've been given replacement corner clips recently, but nothing so far on the buttons. The dealer is getting the brunt of my mails, of course.

One option was to send the damaged units into the dealer, but given it took several months to get the 6th unit into stock, that really doesn't work. Once February had come and gone for the stock of #6, I knew that wasn't a viable plan and so was forced to wait - and wait - for the 'in field replacement' I was told was supposed to be available, but I've not seen that yet.

Do we have an direct line of communication into Clipsal, or the contact number of the product managers? I dont get the feeling that the dealer is getting the support from Clipsal and perhaps a more direct approach may be necessary. After 10 months, I still have damaged units and yet to see anything official from Clipsal, and their response to this has been pitiful.

I've had my CBUS install for 10 years and everything has worked flawlessly over that time, even with the occasional upgrade.

Same thing happened to me. I emailed Clipsal and they sent out new switches. Pretty simple clip out job to replace.

It took almost 9 months to get my outstanding item on the order from December 2014, so that was never going to work for me.

    Hi,

Unfortunately there were some problems with paint on the early batches.

If you contact your rep they should be able to arrange a set of replacement buttons and end caps for you (don't pull the existing ones off until you receive the new ones as the removal can be one-way if you're not careful).

If you have any problems arranging this with your rep PM me and I will try and help from this end.

    Nick

    Hi, Nick

Do you know of any documents for guidance on how to swap out the buttons?

    Thankyou!

It was pretty simple theboyg. Undo the screws and take the face off the electronics and then the clips can be pushed out with a small screwdriver or similar from behind. The new ones just clipped in. Whole thing took about 5 mins.
