How do you clear the internal temperature warning on one of the new LED dimmers.
The other day was very warm and we had been out, therefore no aircon on and for some reason when we returned I opened the the C-Bus cabinet door and notice a flashing Green and Red indicating an internal over temperature, room was at a 30C, I measured the temp just above the air vents on the dimmer at 38.7C.
I did not follow up on it for a few hours and as the house cooled down to a 23C the LED continued to flash and the temp above the dimmer very similar.
2 days later no change in LED status still flashing and again temperatures similar.
I couldn't find any information how to clear this error in the software, installation instruction, or user manual. I reverted to the old favourite of switch it off and back on again. which cleared the fault.
Temperatures again are all similar and few days later no reoccurrence of the error.
Is there a way of clearing the flashing LED on the dimmer? to allow it to show normal green status.

There are 2 parameters that control this.. The "Unit Over Temperature Set Threshold" and "Unit Over Temperature Clear Threshold".

The warning is activated when the internal temperature exceeds the "Set" threshold and once set, will only be cleared when it drops below the "Clear" threshold. The default values are set to 70C for Set and 65C for Clear.

Your description suggests that the temperature of the unit in your switchboard is probably normally above the clear threshold and below the Set threshold.. You can see the current reading in the Status section.

You can adjust the thresholds to suit your installation, although you might also want to see if you can increase the ventilation to reduce the temperature.

You can also set up the unit to periodically broadcast these on the Measurement Application.

    Thanks Nick
I did find those setting and have adjusted the clear setting to a higher value I have had to set at 69C which I don't think is a good permanent solution.

Internal cabinet temperature at the time of the problem was 35.5C
    Today internal cabinet temperature 32.5C
With cover on and no loads running Unit temperature 69C
I have had the front cover off the C-Bus board and montitored the Unit temperature
Cover off (for 1 hour) 63C
Cover off and a 4 channels turned on for 5 mins 63C Total max load less than 100 Watts
Ambient air approx air temp 24C
What sort of Unit temperature would you consider to be acceptable?
I believed I was within specs most of the time with reference to the user manual.
Will take onboard improving ventilation, will see if I can fit a fan at the top of the enclosure.
Any other advice would be appreciated.

    Update on temperature issues.
80mm 12v fan fitted to the enclosure, logic in my wiser 2 to monitor the unit temperature of the dimmer and control the fan if temperature goes above 68C and turns off below 65C.
All seems to be working well, it would have been nice if PICED allowed the control of channel 254 on the measurement app, without editing the .ctd file.
Has anyone got any idea what sort of temperature these units normally run at.
