5500CN are these still able to be used?

    Hi i have a 5500cn which was installed in 2010, havent connected to it for a few years, currently trying to no success.

    Yes they still work.
    Some have stopped working at that age.
    First thing to check would be the power supply.
    Also I'm sure you have been though a few routers since then.
    Is your current network using the same subnet?

    I'm no expert, but check the config file in cgate, make sure it's set for correct address, use toolkit to search for networks. If all else fails msg Ashley, he's the expert here.

    The 5500CN uses a Lantronix brick for the ethernet part. It's possible that this could need firmware brought up to date. Provided the power supply is OK, firmware and Lantronix DeviceInstaller should see it working fine. Firmware is available from the Lantronix web site, though the interface device used was made obsolete long ago, last I knew the firmware is still there.
