Just noticed there is a new version release for the 5500AC2 / NAC2 with some welcomed additions.

App support and a Manager Config for creating interfaces.

In the process of backing up my current AC2 and upgrading to give it a try.

I was not aware of the release so though id share the news and see if anyone else had had a chance to try it out yet and had any feedback?

With the introduction of V2 -

"The Base64 HTTP Authentication is no longer supported and has been replaced with session-based authentication for enhanced security"

Due to this I have had to alter the way my app connect to the 5500AC2/NAC (and also the Logic Machine). The new versions are CTC-Wiser 3.2 & CTC-Spacelogic 3.2.

    https://apps.apple.com/au/app/ctc-spacelogic/id1541108347

    https://apps.apple.com/au/app/ctc-wiser/id1330538372

To enable login, in Settings under the Login section select Use Encrypted Only

I have also added a Splash screen when first loaded saying CTC Wiser or CTC Spacelogic.

And while it is loading the Visual it flashes connecting with the type of connection eg Wifi, Mobile, Ethernet.

Also if you want to have it start in the new manager app, turn on App Mode, and the enter in the App String
    /apps/data/manager

While there is a version 2.0 firmware for the 5500NAC, LSS5500NAC, 5500SHAC, LSS5500SHAC. this firmware is mostly Security Fixes and Bug Fixes, But this firmware does not have the APP Support and thus is not supporting the new APP contents like Manager and Future Remote Mobile Application that will come to the 5500AC2 and 5500NAC2.

Hi Colin, The downloads page doesn't have the 2.0 firmware for the older units. So I don't think it's released for public consumption yet.

    HI Chris

Sorry i jumped the gun a little on that one, we are holding back on this firmware for older NAC / SHAC as the changes are significant in this firmware, and while we make every effort to validate the impact of the changes. we are being a little cautious with this one and dipping the toe in the water by testing with NAC2 and AC2 first and if all is well then we will release for NAC and SHAC. Also this new firmware 2.0 for NAC/SHAC does cause some issues with support by the 5000ETP10 Touch Panel, SO the update of existing NAC/SHAC to 2.0 is not recommended for everyone.

I would hold off on updating to 2.0, until a further release is made.

In visualisations, creating new objects with icon is hit and miss. Go through process of adding new object to visualisation, add to plan, save and reload, then it disappears.

Also 2.0 breaks the embedded web pages, camera feeds. Appears to also break the keypress control type for objects created in the security application.

that is interesting, i’ve be running my UI creation script on firmware 2 for a while and had no issues. So it must be a bug in the actual saving of the page.
