    Hi All,

I have a couple of 4 gang switches around the place that I want to use to trigger scenes.

I have set the plate up so that the following is configured:

Button 1 - On - Triggers a scene with 255 as the action selector
Button 2 - Off - Triggers a scene with 0 as the action selector
Button 3 - Trigger 1 - Triggers a scene with 254 as the action selector
Button 4 - Trigger 2 - Triggers a scene with 1 as the action selector

All of the above works fine and the four buttons trigger the respective scenes that are run from Homegate. No dramas there. My problems are:

    1. All four LED indicators stay on irrespective of which scene is triggered.
    2. There is no way (that I can figure) to make the buttons turn the scene off on an alternate press. I have created a scene for Off and assigned that to one of the buttons but it is a bit unintuitive.

Any thoughts on how to achieve these?

    David.

What kind of 4 key switch do you have?

BB5034NL if memory serves. Normal plain old 4 gang switch.

    Trigger Control.

I've read that other post and that is pretty much what I'm doing. I have set up action selectors at the four values quoted above. I have two of the buttons set up to use on and off for the 255 and 0 values respectively and I have two other trigger values in the switch for the 1 and 254 values. I have to do this as the brain dead switch has four buttons but only two trigger values possible.

That all works. It is just that:
    1. the LED indicators switch on with any related load and not the scene in question.
    2. there is no way that I can figure to make a single button work as per the toggle function normally (i.e. alternate presses switch between activating the scene desired and activating another scene that has the effect of turning off all the loads in the scene).

    David.

On the 5034NL, you cannot make the indicators go out when the scenes are inactive.

Neo, Saturn and Reflection switches support that operation.

As for a scene toggle press on / press again for off. Difficult unless you are using one of the newer generation switches and have your scenes in there.

If using Homegate (to store the scenes) the simplest method is probably to use some logic to grab the trigger commands and react accordingly.

Darren may correct me if there is a simpler method.
