If there is a Ceiling fan mounted in the center of the room what options for mounting a 360 PIR
? Mount adjacent to the fan but in the direction of the entrance door or traffic area for good detection.
? Mount close to a room corner and apply a zone mask.
? Don?t use but instead use 2 of the 90deg PIR on opposing room corners.

Also the catalog show that there are 2 separate terminals (plus /minus) on the 360 PIR.
Is this so the wiring can be easily Daisy-Chained to the next C-Bus device?
If so they should have considered 2 terminals for the Keypads

    Thanks

    Yes.
The biggest trouble on the back of keypads is space to fit the terminals :(

Mounting the 360 degree sensor behind a ceiling fan is definitely a bad idea. The sensors detect differences in infra-red emission from everything they see and the moving fan blades will result in changes in the intensity of infra-red light being received by the sensor in the different zone windows on the lens. A difference in infra-red strength being received by different zones is what causes the sensor to trip.

If the room is small, just install 1 x 90 degree sensor in one corner. If the room is large, put one in the opposite corner as well. Don't put a sensor in the corner of the room opposite the door or the sensors may detect people walking past the room, but not entering it.

    Thanks Newman
    That is great information.
I will implement in my design.
