Is there any reason I can't use a few spare relay channels to control extractor fans? Don't need any speed control, just on/off for extractor fans really. I'm worried about what will happen when I turn them off as the motor is an inductive load and can cause a spike.

    Thoughts?

I have use them for fan control without any problems the relays are rated at 10 amp AC3 (inductive load) if the load is greater use the cbus relay to drive a contractor with a larger capacity.
