View Full Version : DLT Back boxes
What back boxes do the new DLT switches need ?
I am about to start first fixing and want to install either saturns or NEO's but will upgrade some of them to DLT switches when they become available.
I'd like to use standard boxes but don't know if DLT's need bigger boxes.
Anybody know what them spec's are ?
Thanks for any help

DLT's use standard back boxes, the same as for Neo, Saturn and 2000 series.
I should have qualified this. I live in Ireland which has the same back boxes as the UK. The square neo's and the E2000's fit them but I don't think there is Saturn switch that fits them.
Do the DLT's come in the square version ?
I think they are 86mm x 86mm x 21mm.

OK, you have the square back boxes over there. The existing 50x5DL series are designed for the Australian series wall boxes only. They will be available in a square version but not as yet. If you're prepared to wait the DLT will eventually be released in the E-Series square plate range.
You should be able to get Saturn in the E-Series range size, i.e. square. I suggest you contact your local C-Bus rep to check.
Thanks Newman.
I guess the LCD displays will be smaller for the square switches ?
Will the square DLT switches be available in both the NEO & Saturn ranges ?
Any idea of ETA for them ?
Thanks again

Yes, the LCD will be smaller to accomodate the shorter height of the E-series switches. 4 buttons instead of the 5 the A-series switches have. The plan is to release both Saturn and Neo styles as has been done for the Australian series unless a technical brick wall is reached anywhere during development.
Can't help you with the ETA as such information is not mine to disclose.
