When is a post 2.0.44 version of BW ctouch to released with a logic engine or do we have to wait for the colour (currently vapiourware) version???
Big proplem now is we have promising colour for 12 months now and customers what something to fill the hole in wall - other than a picture.

I don't believe there are any plans to include the logic engine with the B&W C-Touch.

The C-Touch Colour team are working there butts off to bring it to market. However, they are making sure it is right before releasing. I know that is small consolation given the lateness of the project, but we are all feeling the anguish of our customers over this delay. :(

It is always best to not make any promises to customers for products which have not been released. Don't sell a product until it is available ;)

it depends if you are like lewis carroll ('i try to believe 6 impossible things before breakfast every day') or mark twain ('i only believe a tenth of what i hear and half of what i see')
i continue to be amazed by stories of different manufacturers equipment being run together when the first time this is tried is on the customers premises, i suspect that trying any new arrangement out in your own workshop with no pressure is preferable
most new products from most manufactures never come out to schedule, we don't hear about them all as many companies don't let the market know what they are planning until it is ready, a few (brave? foolish?) do let the market know, personally i don't even talk to customers until i have had the product in my hand and fired it up to make sure i understand what it does and how you make it do it - if it isn't released/available it isn't specced in, i may loose some sales but i sleep at night.
I also have a general rule of thumb. Wait for version 1.x to have its first "field service pack" released. At least then you have some assurance that most "real world enviroment" issues are/have been addressed.
Cautious? == yes.
Why? == been there done that.
Having said that, there will always be pressure to get the "newest" hardware/software available. As long as you are aware of the potential for there to be unforseen issues, then heck dive right in, boots and all.
cheers
