Please note there will be an update to the following CIS programs:

Homegate
Schedule+

This will effectively update your existing version 1.3 and above to version 2.5.

This update requires a full "released" version and will not update BETA versions.

The update includes changes to the software itself and the accompanying
C-gate software.
-These are upgrade versions, and you will need a released version of the
product installed beforehand
-Version 1.1.5 or later of the C-Bus Toolkit is required
-This FREE upgrade makes the products compatible with the C-Bus Toolkit
- See "What's New" for changes and new features in the software itself,
once installed.
- The update is free of charge.

Homegate update file size ( 25MB)
Scheduleplus update file size ( 31 MB)

as mentioned before the update will only work on full versions not BETA
versions.

due to this updating some of you may have to re-install your original
Homegate or Schedule+ software.

Seeing that you will be installing "older software" initially, you will need to
have C-Bus V2 already installed on your computer, if it is not there , an error
message will appear to remind you.

to save registration issues for forum members with the old V2 software,
we are loading V2.7.9 to the forum.

go here for the patch update

go here for the V2.7.9 software ( if required )

Are you saying that the new release of Home Gate / Schedule Plus doesn't open the project file from an earlier beta of Home Gate or Schedule Plus?

I have now started again from scratch and am still getting problems:mad:
So with a clean install everything works fine with Homegate / Schedule Plus
Until i set up a trigger group firing off scenes in Homegate / Schedule Plus
When using trigger Schedule Plus loses connection with Cgate
Toolkit itself still works ( I can turn a Group on and Off)
Cbus level changes issued via Switches still register on Homegate / Schedule Plus
On Schedule Plus the status bar shows 0/1 Networks On-line
The only way of curing the problem seems to be restarting Cgate:(

Everything worked well on the beta software which is why at first I thought it was a problem with moving the data across.
This isnt the case as I have clean data on both cgate and Schedule Plus

Also

When the fault condition is active the network state shows *ERROR*

I also have a Comfort module connected, I notice that even when Homgate /Schedule Plus change a state Toolkit reports that Comfort has changed the state! <edit> I have now disconnected the Comfort Sim and the fault condition still occurs<Edit>

Thanks in advance
Mike

I thought I had fixed this
I seemed to have 2 Groups called the same thing ??
I dont really understand how or why but on renaming one of them it all seemed to be working

But then I added some more scenes and exactly the same thing

I can trigger off a few scenes and the it loses connection
Just on the *0/1 networks online* I'm guessing that this means onway comunication on C-Bus
Easily fixed by rescanning the network in toolkit
As it finds the c-bus PCI or CNI interface it all comes good again

Even easier just open up the CNI unit in toolket and save it again
ANY ONE ANY IDEAS ???

I must be doing something really silly

thanks
Mike

"0/1 networks online" means that you have 1 network and 0 networks are on-line.

If you click on the Options | Show Network States, you can see the states of the Networks, as reported by C-Gate. The help file has information on the meaning of the states.

Easily fixed by rescanning the network in toolkit As it finds the c-bus PCI or CNI interface it all comes good again. Even easier just open up the CNI unit in toolket and save it again
With the current versions of the software, it is best to not have the tool kit and HomeGate/Schedule Plus running at the same time. They use C-Gate in different ways which are not compatible. It is best to run one lot of software and do whatever needs to be done, then close down, close C-Gate and then run the other software. This situation will be improved in time.

Amazing

Thats that sorted then!!
Directly I stopped having Toolkit open it seems to work

Ive been using toolkit to open Cgate then I can connect across my PC Network to from another machine runing Schedule Plus

Ive been tring to keep both a beta version and the new version til I had cheched every thing out

I guess I'll have to bite the bullit and put 1.1.5 on my main control machine and remove 1.1.4

Thanks for your help

Mike
PS
Thanks for the 0/1 info - what does the s in the box on the right signify?

what does the s in the box on the right signify?
The S means that the Scheduler is running. You can double click on it to toggle the state, or use the menu item, or use the check box in the Schedule Manager - your choice :)

Hi CIS crew,

When can we expect to see the new V3. I currently have three projects requiring unlimited network licences and logic engines. Please tell me they will b e available soon. An accurate availability date would be greatly appreciated, and yes, i have spoken to my local CIS reps.

I can't be more accurate than that as the testing guys have to sign off on it. The testing and verification process is lengthly and may need to be run thorugh multiple time depending if any defects are found and the severity.

Being a 24x7 control platform we have to be as confident as possible that we have it right before release.
