After unplugging a hardware burden, its advisable NOT to subsequently put it between your lips, the capacitor discharges giving a nasty tingle. Doh :-)
Hmm.... you tested this did you Duncan?
Maybe this is why my suggestion of cherry flavoured Burdens was knocked back by management.

Was doing High voltage insulation testing on products on the shop floor years ago. the test involved injecting 1kV dc onto a pcb and ckecking it didnt break over to a heatsink that was attached to a TRIAC. A mains cap in the circuit would get charged up during the process and care had to be taken when handling the board and ensuring that the discharge was achieved by natural leakage (over about 2 minutes or so) or via a high impedence path to avoid damage to the PCB. I was using option 1, it was after normal hours and there were no shopfloor staff working - quite safe I thought, until one of the leading hands walked over and started chatting about the test I was doing and why it was required, having nothing better to do with his hands he idely picked up the unit I had just tested and before I thought to warn him (he he) got a 1kV belt across his hand - no risk of electrocution but quite a 'shock'. Needless to say I did all subsiquent testing of this type in a restricted area, just waiting for everone to leave wasn't sufficient.

Just like the old insulation test of pesky apprentices (why do they only fall for it once!). and they let go too quick to get an acurate reading!
Also quite important not to hang them from nipples.

SH......t, lucky you told me, I was heading for a major industrial accident!
Also quite important not to hang them from nipples.
