Gif files in Homegate

Does anybody know if the new version of Homegate will be able to suport gif files or is there any way possible of using animated gif files in ver 2 of Homegate?

When the current version of HomeGate was written GIF files could not be used due to the licensing problems associated with them.

Just use an image editing program to convert the GIF file to a bitmap, JPEG etc.

We may add GIF support in the future

Thanks for your help. I am just looking at a way of placing some animation onto the screen to jazz it up a bit.
