Hello.

If I have a home minder connected to a C-BUS network. Can I use the serial port on the home minder to program C-BUS devices. Or do I still need a separate PC interface ?

Thanks

You can program through the Minder. I hope this thread does not get deleted like some others that use the 'M' word

The minder unit provides interface as well as the clock source for the CBus. You then use the CBus access through the minder software but you must also have the CBus software as the minder program only acts as a conduit to the Cbus. Hope this helps

Although I can't comment on the initial install my system functions perfectly without one (i.e. Just with minder) I can reprogram C-Bus switches etc and work with minder through the single minder interface connected to the PC comport. As the two posts have suggested.

You can't do this anymore with ToolKit.

You would need to use the old C-Bus V2 software to do it.

You can't do this anymore with ToolKit.

Just to slightly clarify..you've never been able to do it with Toolkit.
