I'll post a few screenshots of V3 here over the next few days, here's the first one:

The "Units" view of a Network.

are we going to be able to see all 12 groups of a 12 channel relay unit in this view?

Yes, all 12 will be visible.

Will the network scans be more reliable than with V2.7 ? I consistantly get errors and have been told by support that this is normal

If you're getting lots of errors its usually indicative of poor network comms.

Will the network scans be more reliable under V3? Yes, we're actually doing a more thorough scan and detection of duplicate unit addresses have been improved. Resolution of duplicate unit address is much better as well. However, this comes at a slight cost.. the scan time under V3 is actually a little longer than V2.. but you also get more on top.. Network Voltage, Clock Status, Burden Status...

Hi,

just was wondering how I can upgrade to V3? I currently have V2.5.1 installed.

I was told the same thing when I did the c-bus course.

The scan of the network is always (IMO) very hit and miss, especially with a larger network. I have gone from a 10 device network to a 40+ device network and I don't often get a good full scan of the network.

Poor network comms? Not sure how you get poor network comms if you are using a CNI? If that is what you mean by network comms.

As for time, how bloody slow is it now and you are saying it is going to be slower. I think I will just scan and walk away for 10 mins and do something else, no more quick changes. Poor custoimer who has to pay for the time for scans & re-scan.

By Network Comms I mean on the Bus itself not between your PC and the Bus.

If you work from a Database, changes can be very very fast. No need for "scan & re-scan".
